  Why do I bother to wake up in the morning?

  i'm not suicidal just fed up.. i did think of suicide (briefly), but as there is no painless way and it's not something i would willingly do just in case things would have been better the day after.

  i do have a slight grain of hope.. money problems.....problems at home (that's another matter with a son up court for something he is adamant he didn't do.

  first offence but the pigs police and the cps have got charges made.

  interesting post. I always liked Michael Fox i readhis autobiography and was dissapointed, but i am English and read it in a Swedish translation.

  Anyway i liked your post. I am now living in a Swedish community, a place where people of all ages share, a football pitch, a art room, a restaurant, a cinema a pool table, a daily bingo for the elderly....its great and i think it shows geneations can live together and life can be fun in a community...

  I exsperienced such a life in village outside affluent London in England, where people of all social standing chose to live on canal boats...it was great and there was a fantastic humun spirit of love...shared between a rich rock star and a alcoholic ex- English teacher of mine...

  Yes people can live together as people and social status doesnt need seperate nor divide us...that PUNK is why i chooce to get up in the morning. I think this thread has proved my point, even if its only in hyper- space.

  What is the main "idea" of the bible?

  as jws we were often told what the theme of the bible is, we were taught that it was the promised seed.. i was recently asked the question.... what is the main "idea" of the bible?.

  for me the whole purpose of the bible is about control.

  it features a god that punishes and rewards.

  i think it is " play time" its an " idea" that people use when they want to " play" with " iam right" and you are " wrong" . But nobody can put the puzzle together...the game is over for those that " played" that power trip. The game is over the pieces dont fit together and the common man can see that now...and its loosing its power...thank God -:)

  Paul punk took a great deal of courage for untalented musisians to frighten the establishment...high unemployment and little future created a wonderful " positive" moverment ....the music lives on and if it meant anything it meant life with no jobs and no future can be great. I look out my window its spring and its wonderful...shame i now have a job, money and a wife and kid. :-)

  being dedicated with narrow vison is self denial...most of those i find reprehensible and dedicated to " the truth" dont have the love of people to bring anybody in .

  Anyone has the script JW use for the funeral "talk"

  my relatives are having a talk for their non-jw family member, meaning he was born in but never baptized and is kind of a bad example in the congo, of course they were not allowed to use the kh and have to look for a facility and someone to do the talk.

  On a Scale of 1 to 10---How Devoted Were You To Being One of Jehovah's Witnesses?

  as i grew up in the religion, i was a 10. i wanted to be made a "servant" because that was instilled in me from infancy.

  i diligently studied ever piece of watchtower literature and defended my religion intensely.. when i got into my 30's, i started to see little cracks in the watchtower's surface but decided to "wait on jehovah".

  then i started to research a little more critically and realized i couldn't defend the prophecies, the treatment of people and the hypocrisy that was becoming more obvious, that especially an elder can see.. it was a gradual thing---from a 10 to a zero!.

  Fadetoblack..i got a rail ticket that allowed travelling through Europe, and i went all over Poland...wow i love that country, its everything culture, pine, it took my breath away..
